Tricia Johnston
Tricia is our President, CEO, and co-owner. She is responsible for overall operations. Tricia’s entire career has been in the brokerage industry, spending her first 12 years holding various roles in Nationwide’s brokerage before transitioning to Westfield to launch their brokerage division. During her 20-year tenure at Westfield Specialty Brokerage, she served in all aspects of the business, ultimately leading the entire operation. Tricia resides in Lewis Center, Ohio, where she raised her three grown children. She and her husband enjoy traveling anywhere warm near the ocean.
Brian Bowerman
Brian is our CFO and co-owner. He is responsible for HR, Legal, Finance, IT, and Compliance. He has over 30 years of experience in Claims, Agency Operations, and Corporate Training. Brian previously led Westfield’s internal agency operation. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors in Insurance and Risk Management and earned his CPCU in 1997. He lives near Cleveland, Ohio. Brian and his wife have three grown daughters, and they enjoy boating and spending time together near the water.

Lisa is our Vice President of commercial lines. She handles all commercial operations and oversees commercial staff. In addition, she is responsible for new business production and program management. Lisa has been in the insurance industry for over 16 years, most of which have been with Specialty Brokerage. Lisa resides in Westerville, Ohio, with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her three children and two grandchildren, walking, reading, and socializing with friends.
Rachel Sanders
Rachel is our Vice President of personal lines. She is responsible for operations and personnel in the personal lines division and generating new business. She is an Ohio State University graduate with over ten years of personal lines experience in agency and brokerage operations. Rachel resides with her husband in Westerville, Ohio, and enjoys boating, watersports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Doug is our Director of IT and Accounting Operations. Doug was instrumental in the initial set-up of Specialty Brokerage Services LLC. He oversees our IT Department, including privacy, security, and compliance. In addition, Doug works closely with our accounting department, providing support and implementing efficiencies through technology. Before joining our team, Doug spent 20 years running the IT Department for Westfield Services. Doug resides in Lewis Center, Ohio, with his wife. He loves to travel – especially on a cruise ship.

Joyce is our staff accountant. She is responsible for all accounting functions within Specialty Brokerage Services, including carrier payments, agent commissions, and more. Joyce has over 50 years of experience in accounting across several industries and divisions. She graduated from Franklin University with a major in Accounting and earned her CPA in 1983. Joyce recently relocated from Ohio to South Carolina, where she enjoys visiting the beach, reading, and traveling with friends and family.

Justin is a Commercial Lines New Business Producer. He is responsible for generating new business and initiating and cultivating relationships with our agents and carriers. He earned his Bachelor of Science in business management and visual communication from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Justin has been in the insurance industry for over eight years, during which he spent most of his time leading a WYO flood division before transitioning to our brokerage operation. Justin resides in Centerburg, Ohio, with his wife and daughter. He enjoys repurposing antiques and hitting the gym.

With 9 years of experience in the insurance industry, she is responsible for generating new business and building strong relationships with agents and carrier partners. Known for her fun, outgoing personality, she enjoys creating lasting connections while supporting growth through a collaborative approach. She was born and raised in Ohio and now resides in Clinton, TN with her husband and children. A lifelong Ohio State fan, she’s proudly adopted Tennessee as home and is now bleeding orange for the TN Vols.
